The thing is, those who will like your comment and want to read more about you, they will find a way to find you, somehow. You don’t have to think of how people will find you and your blog.

They will.

The parts of a great blog comment

A compelling and perfect blog comment has four parts.

Though you can omit any of these as per need but normally, you should make sure that your comment must have these four components.

1. Opening

This is where you greet the blogger with the name.

You can start the opening with a simple ‘Hello’ but it doesn’t look as catchy as compared to ‘Hello Sabih’.

Opening is perhaps the single part that is rarely missed by the blog commenters, so let’s move to the next one.

2. Compliment

Right after the opening, compliment the author.

I have to say that it is an optional part.

There are cases where you don’t have to compliment, for example, when you are replying to a comment or adding your point to the discussion.

If you are addressing the author and if you are not replying to a comment, you should (generally) compliment the author for the great work he has done.

A single sentence is enough.

After the compliment, add your point.

This is the part where you have to add the value, your point, criticism, an example, or ask a question.

It has to be clear and well-written.

There is no room for grammatical errors.

Make it catchy. Add links to resources.

You can add as many words as you like but be sure to deliver the message and your point.

At times, you have to write 30 words and at other times, you might have to write 200 words. It depends.

You don’t have to look at the words, focus on the value and point.

4. Closing

End the comment with a nice closing.

Always add your name at the end. You can add your designation, your company name, and your website or blog URL.

Some blogs allow adding all the details in the closing, others don’t.

If other commenters are doing it, you should do it. If they have just added their names, you should add your name.
